  3. Beautiful wee gem! a delight to see this painting on another rainy afternoon in the highlands of Scotland. Hope the weather is better with you! The light on the blouse and skirt is really well painted Rahina.

  5. Nice, Rahina. A challenging subject with the back lighting, handled beautifully. I especially like the soft edge treatment of the face and blouse--creates a luminous feeling.

  7. It's really beautiful Rahina. I agree that you handled the light on the fabrics with such a soft, believable touch, and I have to add that I think you did a great job as well with the light on the back of the chair. You described the differences of the surfaces so well. Congrats!

  9. Wooh! this is lovely Rahina, that Dutch feeling of quietness around her and also the brush work is so good. Love the dark corners merging into light around the figure.

  14. Rahina, nice work, one of your best recently.
I see bits of Thomas Wilmer Dewing with just a hint of Norman Rockwell but still contemporary. And a good combination that is.

    Keep painting...
